For perimeter-walkers who’d enjoy continuing to walk with neighbors year ’round, I’d encourage you to check out the WeWalkPHL walking groups.

This program run by the Fairmount Park Conservancy in conjunction w/ the city’s Parks & Rec Dept & Dept of Public Health organizes neighborhood walking groups that meet weekly in parks across the city.

There are several regular group walks on or near the perimeter:

• Cobbs Creek Park (3 sites!)
• Heinz Wildlife Refuge
• Eastwick Regional Park
• FDR Park
• Junod Rec Center
• Lardner’s Point Park
• Pennypack on the Delaware
• Venice Island Rec Center
• Wissahickon Environmental Center
