I’m delighted to have installed a new lil photo exhibit of images from the city’s edge at The Cedars House café in the Wissahickon Valley Park.
The Cedars House is at the northernmost end of Forbidden Drive right where it hits the city border at Northwestern Ave, and makes a great rest stop whether you’re walking the more frequently traveled trails of the Wissahickon or taking part in our Walk Around Philadelphia adventures around the city’s border.
Exhibit receptions & bonus walks:
Join us on Saturday January 20th for a special reception from 4-6pm!
There’ll be a closing reception on Sunday March 3rd!
TWO Bonus walk options:
- Meet at Cedars House at 2:15pm for an out & back walk before the reception.
- Meet at Wissahickon Transportation Center* at 1pm for a snowy walk all the way up the Wissahickon Valley Park to get to The Cedars House in time for the reception. (Some folks heading out from West Philly will catch SEPTA together ~12pm to get there)
* The Wissahickon Transportation Center is NOT THE SAME PLACE as the Wissahickon Regional Rail Station. They’re not too far from each other, but there’s potential for confusion. We’ll be meeting at the start of the trail right across the street from the Transportation Center.
Check it out anytime…
Winter hours at The Cedars House are 9am-3pm on Fri/Sat/Sun.
Stop by anytime they’re open between now and March 6th to check out the exhibit, and make sure not to miss the continuation of the exhibit in the back/green room.
Join the winter walks…
The 12 days of Philly are unfolding over 3 long weekends in February!
Several segments are already full / waitlisted, but there’s still options to join us for Walk Around Philadelphia adventures around the city’s edge.
You can join any segment or partial segment, and we’d love to walk with you!
