Event Status: WAITLIST
You are signing up to walk on Sunday February 23 @ 8:55am from Airport towards Navy Yard.
Please register individually for EACH segment of the Winter 2025 Walk Around Philadelphia that you plan to attend.
About this segment:
Meet in the airport's B/C baggage claim by the Terrance Woolford "Love Awaits You" installation.
It looks like this: https://www.phl.org/at-phl/art-exhibitions/node/2098
Many of us will be coming in on the SEPTA regional rail train from center city scheduled to arrive at 8:48am (Airport line) – Look for us in the back car!
This segment includes an option to end with snacks at the Bistro in the Courtyard Marriott South in the Navy Yard.
This segment is estimated to take roughly 12 miles and 7 hours. The terrain may include potential for heights & walking close to fast traffic on protected bridge walkway, potential for mostly roads & sidewalks or potential off-road adventures.
Your mileage, terrain and endpoint may vary depending on choices made by your group; you can always choose to walk a partial segment.
Registration fees & contributions:
Walk event fees cover some of the administrative and logistical costs associated with facilitating the walk and helping make this experience more accessible to others. Please contribute the amount that feels accessible to you.
NOTE: Event fees and contributions made through this website are not tax deductible. If you would like to make a donation to a nonprofit to support our continued development of Walk Around Philadelphia and help provide stipends for participants facing financial hardship, you can do so via our 501c3 fiscal sponsor Fractured Atlas (and we would be most grateful!)
Free registrations & stipends:
If finances are a barrier, please reach out to walk@jjtiziou.net or 267-702-5464. We can accommodate some free registrations and have a limited number of stipends available.
